Monkey Island

If you grew up in the 90s and played video games, there’s a good chance that you have played Monkey Island on your Amiga or Atari ST.

In this epic saga—5 episodes—you play Guybrush Threepwood, a not very successful pirate that accidentally gets into fantastic adventures on the fictionnal island of the Caribbean called Monkey Island (which is technically only one of the several islands of the game).

I’ve always loved point-and-click games like Monkey Island, Maniac Mansion, Sam & Max and Indiana Jones produced by LucasArt. The adventures of Guybrush are definitely among the most hilarious and exotic games created at that time. And a big part of the game is the maps that represents the various level of your progress. Here are some taken from the various episodes of Monkey Island.
