Caught Mapping takes a look at the “modern” world of map making as it was in 1940. The short, educational film was produced for Chevrolet by Handy (Jam) Organization in cooperation with the State Highway Department. It follows the map making process from the “road scouts” who field-checked the maps to the draftsmen and printmakers. The film is available courtesy of the Prelinger Archive.
