RoadTrip in Sweden, Episode 3/10

Summary
Malmö is the third biggest city of Sweden. It's great to stay a few days and have fun.
Unfortunately, we've been bad pupils and have not visited much.
We tested many places and we walk around much of the time. Cedric and I love to walk around in foreign cities... with no idea where you go. We did that almost all holidays...
Anyway, there are many places to have fun and build new friendships !
If you have to go and stay in one place on holidays in Sweden. It 's not the best place.
It's great for a living I think, but not for long holidays.
But if you have a car, and have some time, it's ok for a few days, it's a nice city.

Day three - Friday, august 24th
We arrive from Lund at 11AM, to check in at our youth hotel, the Bosse S.
We were there for all the week end, so we took the "royal suite" :), a 3 people room !
Our plan for Malmö was to enjoy the Malmö Festival and party with some swedish friends I met in Pragues two years ago.
We walk to the downtown and we stayed the afternoon on the festival, walking around and listenning to live music.
By 21pm, we decided to join a long queue, to taste the CEVAPI ... it' was marvelous !!! it's beef with yogurt in bread. It was on the stand of a restaurant called Saray. We found the restaurant later cause we wanted to eat some more cevapi after the end of the festival... It was so so good !
Time was come to join our friends, Vicky and Hanna. We had rendez-vous at Hanna's home.
It was very nice to see them again, after bearly two years without news. We also met a new challenger, Elaine.
We had a drink, debating during hours about music, travels and football. I have never seen girls that love football so much ! They even sang us the Malmö FF anthem. A great time of emotion :).
Like two or three hours later, girls decided to go clubbing ! Cedric and I began to be a little pissed...
We went to the car, got a last shot on the sly, and joined the girls.
I don't remember the way to the club. We were following girls, chatting and laughing.
We arrived at Slaghuset (I knew later..the next day, that it was the Slaguhuset...) and danced during hours. Much fun. I lost Elaine and Hanna, and Vicky left by 2am .. I guess.
We continue dancing to the end of the night, drinking beers, and dancing like if John Travolta was showing us the path !
As we decided to go home, we found out that we didn't know where we were! On the way to the club, we didn't pay attention to the itinerary. We walked like on hour, in the cold night. Going to the north ... wrong, going to the south, ...wrong... we were completely lost... I can't explain how we managed to get to the hotel. So lucky.
Each one of us drank his liter of water and we slided ourselves under the sheets.
Day four - Saturday, august 25th
First we awoke at 12am ... but we could not even stand up... we stay in the bed two hours, watching swedish show on TV, the head inside out. We got some force and motivation, and made a try.
This day was very strange, the streets were empty. there were garbages from the festival all over the floor, the live stages and stands were there, but there were nobody. like in 28 days after we were alone in Malmö, walking like zombies...
We decided to make one with nature, and find a public garden to have a nap. We landed in Slottsparken, the castle garden where we founded a wonderful bench, ... a new friend for a while.
We debriefed and confessed to him, all stories and sins of the night before.. He was a good listener. We swore that we would be more careful next time,and decided to listen our stomaches.
We ate in a steakhouse, on Lilla Torget, a cute square with only restaurants.. a little bit touristic, but we needed a real dinner (we made none since the beginning of the holidays, two days ago).
Feeling alive again, we went back to the hotel, to get ready for the night...
We began the night by going to the Kulturbolaget, a bar to listen to live music... especially rock music. We arrived a little bit early, so there was nobody, but people quickly arrived, and there was soon no place to walk around. It was great to dance with swedish, listenning to swedish rock music. Everybody was singing and dancing, everybody knew the lyrics... After one hour dancing like fools and a few beers, we decided to move to another place.
We arrived at Etages , a club on the main square of Malmö. Less fun, more hype. It was very big, an bar on the outside, and three floors (three "etages"...), with different music on each floor. There is even a Karaoke on the third floor!!!! We was said that it was the smartest club in Malmö, we were a little bit disapointed. We had much fun the day before. Anyway, by 5am, when the club was closing, we decided to get over it by taking a great burger. There we met a nice couple of friends called Sophie and Björn. We talked about one hour about france, sweden, men and women... I gave them my card, but I have no news. It was the greatest encounter of the holidays for me... too bad.
We went to sleep, after a walk in the cold swedish morning...
Day five - Sunday, august 26th
On sunday, we went to Lomma... to the beach.
I don't want to make a chronicle about this town, because we stayed juste a fex hours.
The summer season was over, so there was not many people....there was nobody....
You have to know that in Sweden, the summer season is MAY, JUNE, JULY... it's why you have the nationalholiday standing on june 21th, called Midsommar (midsummer fest).
back to the Lomma, there was nobody on the beach, and it was a little bit cold.. so we walked on the beach, and the fool guy I am, took a bath... the water was ok.
Anyway, we stayed there a few hours, and went back to Malmö, after a pit stop in our favorite city: Lund.
Nothing special, on this sunday, except the fact that NOTHING IS OPEN ON SUNDAY, not even a restaurant. The day ended by a burger king and a drink at Debaser, the only place open on sunday... with the few resistants to sunday.
